CABAT Engages Orange County Cities in Collaborative Dialogue on Recovery Housing

Last year, CABAT had the opportunity to meet with several cities across Orange County to begin building a foundation of collaboration around recovery housing. These conversations were an important step toward strengthening communication, addressing shared challenges, and ensuring that local communities have access to accurate information and reliable support.

During these meetings, city leaders were open, engaged, and receptive to dialogue. CABAT expressed deep appreciation for their willingness to listen, ask questions, and explore ways we can work together to improve outcomes for residents and neighborhoods alike.

As part of these discussions, CABAT shared key resources designed to help cities better understand recovery housing, including best‑practice guidance, legal frameworks, and tools for effective community engagement. These materials helped clarify common misconceptions and provided a foundation for ongoing partnership.
